I am an avid reader and I hate to see the corners of pages turned over to keep a page so ...I decided to make some appliqued bookmarks. Based on 'Archie' , I thought I'd start with a dog design. More designs to follow (hopefully).
Cute little butterfly landed on his nose ...Made from Linen and scraps of fabric, attached to a Shepherds Crook, perfect for keeping your book pages as they are meant to be.
So, what do you think ? Shall I make some ?

I love it! I'm sure that is the same Springer spaniel book I have too. I am turner over of page corners too - I never seem to have a book mark nearby.
Definitely make some - that's great! I too read loads and am getting fed up of my daughter bringing me my book in one hand and the book mark in the other! Those shepherd's hooks look like they'd stay put!
It's ages since I popped by! the book mark is lovely - go for it!!!
Loved the post about your springers, there is nothing quite as satisfying as completely tiring very active dogs out!

a firm Yay! What about some on a darker ground? I often find the ink of the print comes off on your hands esp with some paperbacks and it would spoil your lovely bookmark, how's that cheeky chappy of yours?XX
